Cabelas has there Polartec 300 fleece jacket in their bargain cave for $40.
Quantities/sizes/color are limited. It seems XL and 3XL are all that's left, and the XL is just in Alpine. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/te...wrapped.jhtml? id=0009035&navAction=push&navCount=1&indexId=cat15 0014&parentId=cat150014 &parentType=index&rid=&cmCat=BargainCave I just ordered mine for trib fishing (and I'm an XL now!). I haven't tried it, but I know people swear by the Polartec 200, and this seems to be 100 better. Scott |

We got the Columbia Outlet store down the road. It's cheaper and there's no
way Ma Boyle would give Buah and his gang of theives a dime. If your traveling through Portland it may be worth stopping for. A couple of weeks ago I picked up a Bonehead and Bahamas long sleeve shirts. I won't need them much in the winter but they have some PF shielding factor and I need to stay out of the sun more and more. . I have a couple of their PFG shirts that have so many pockets you don't need a vest. Sometimes the buys there are good sometimes so so, you never know until you go in. I got one of the early models on a big sale once when I used to go to REI. But if you're expecting a lot more warmth, no. There will be some more effect of warmth, particularly in a light wind, but it's not 1/3 again better than 200. It just helps block the wind some. You'd do better in a stiff breeze with 200 and a wind jacket. Less bulk that way. I did manage to wear it one year right up to the middle of December up here in MN. I used to take smoke breaks at work and walk around downtown Mupples 3 times a day. So it is warm. And it does do some wind blocking. And it is somewhat rain and snow resistant. But... I find slightly different merchandise and sometimes hit both when I have the need. I learned that it is better to buy two zip-in liners for the coats as they go out of production. Can't beat the prices. You been hitting the Sandy for Coho? I tried Tuesday and found my wading boots wanting. I was walking over the river rocks after fishing for only an hour in the morning and felt my spiked felt roll over under my right foot. These are Korkers, the new type with changeable soles. I've been very happy with the product up until now, but the soles had a complete failure of the glue on the right foot. Both inserts were seated well. I made sure to look at the left foot and it was seated with the lip of the insert as required. I can pull on the felt and can see the felt start to lift off the mushy glue. I'm saving the placement of the insert to show Kauffman's. I've not had any problems with the rubber sole or the felts, but the felt & spike sole failed. It cut my fishing day short as I did not bring the other inserts with me. |

It looks awful, and i'm a bit worried that when the rivets wear down, they won't hold the sole on. We'll see how it goes. brians |
