Default Who Are The Guru's of Reels

Talk about fishing rods and a dozen names come to mind. But who are the
Guru of baitcasters and spinning reels? Who are the master engineers? We
talk about Daiwa, Shimano, Abu Garcia, Quantum, etc., but who are the master
minds behind these reels that are responsible for their incredible designs?

Don't know their names, but chances are they have a slide rule, pocket
protecter, no wife or girlfriend, and have never wet a line

I would think you may be right on the never wet a line part, but geeks
were building computers to replace the slide rule years ago, and the
girls have changed their opinions of geeks. Geek used to be a four
letter word, now it's a six figure income.

They are funny looking, but sure nice in the hand. All the controls are
super easy to get to and adjust, and the durability of my Z 103 HL MG hasn't
been an issue so far with bass, walleye, steelhead and salmon.

I am sure they are very good reels, most left handed reels look just
like the right handed models but with the handle on the left side..
