Default Type of battery for trolling motor

I sometimes fish for several days where there is no electricity to recharge
my TM battery. I need all the amp-hours I can get from a charge. I have
room for two TM batteries. Any recommendations on the way to go -
conventional deep cycle marine batteries, new technology batteries, 2 golf
cart batteries in series, etc? Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
