Default decent deal for a beginner?

I have the following stuff for sale which could be good for a very low
income person who wants to start flyfishing. For instance, For $40 I
would be willing to sell the okuma airstream with with backing and
floating line with a cortland 6/7 travel rod, and throw in a indicator,
10 globugs and 10 caddis pupae.

Or for $60, the okuma sierra with backing and floating line, with the
fenwick 6 weight, and throw in a indicator and the same flys as above.

Or, tho not for the beginner, the adg titan 7/8 weight with
corresponding adg reel for $400 (sorry, might go lower on others but
not this!)

okuma airstream 7/8/9 large arbor fly reel never used with back,
floating line and a sink tip attached. $30

Sth im 2 cassette reel about 1 year old, lifetime warranty, they will
exchange for a different size or a new one for $10 $35

Okuma sierra 7/8 with backing and floating line, about 6 months old $35

Adg 6/7/8 machined reel with backing and floating line $100 retails at
$240

Shimano convergence 15-30 pound spinning rod with corsair 400 reel,
brand new condition.will include 9 round weights, about 5 lures, and
big spool of 15 pound leader. $110
Cortland 3 piece travel fly rod pro crest 6 weight $3

Fenwick ff857 6 weight fly pole $40 LIFETIME WARRANTY!
Adg titan 7/8 fly rod, lifetime warranty, retails for $899, will sell
for $400

This looks like the sale of someone getting out of fly fishing. By the way,
if I could afford those ADG rods, I would buy 'em in a heartbeat.

I get to go to Bass Pro tonight to see if I can get a rod at half price
when they change their prices at 8 p.m. for tomorrows sale. Looking at
75 bucks for a BP CV-2 5 piece 8'6" 5 weight. Thats about as much "only
money" I can spend right now.
Me: "I'm going to the store to buy a fly rod."
Her: "Its getting towards Winter. You won't be able to use it till
Spring."
Me: "Yes, but I'll have it in the Spring. Its a 5 weight."
Her: "Don't you already have a 5 weight?"
Me: "4 of 'em. But this one is 5 pieces that I can take with me when I
travel."
Her: "Four?! You can only use one at a time! And you've got an 8' bed
in your truck. How small does it have to be to fit in there?"
Me: "Its for when I have to go on business trips."
Her: "You're supposed to do business on business trips. Not go fishing
with your buddies."
Me: "You never know when the opportunity to fish will come up."
Her: "You never know when the opportunity to come home to an empty house
will come up."
Me: "Dear, let me put it in terms you can understand. I'm
accessorizing. And if I buy this at 50% off, we'll have that much more
money to buy quilting supplies."
Her: "Well, why didn't you say so. Here's the checkbook."

Hi Frank, no, I am not getting out of flyfishing, just buying more
expensive stuff. The cortland and fenwick would make a decent back dry
fly rod, but I am fishing for steelhead and salmon and these are not
suitable. I still have a golden sable fiberglass rod which is REAL
NICE with a hardy. The sth #2 will work for trout but WILL NOT work
for bigger fish like steelhead and salmon. The large arbor airstream
has never been used but I would assume it would work fine for salmon
and steelhead. I have caught several salmon on the okuma sierra 7/8,
and its drag can be set VERY STRONG, but for salmon and steelhead one
would probably want a smoother reel that costs a couple of hundred
dollars.

The ADG reel is what I use several times a week (with a tfo ticr) for
steelhead, but I have TWO of them, PLUS I have a orvis battenkill
barstock 5 and am getting a ross big game 6
