Default Ttuck problem

I went out this morning to start my 1990 Chevy Silverado and it wouldn't
start. The weather is rainy and about 52 degrees it has been down in
single digits. I checked the fuel and spark and both are good. Could it
be moisture in the distributor cap.

If you're getting spark, then I'd rule out moisture. There's alot else that
could be wrong... maybe water in the fuel?

Fuel pump, could be the fuse for it, but I doubt it

Could also be the timing belt.

Metal gas tank or fuel lines by chance?? With the dew point being so low and
near the temperature a bit of the old Methyl Hydrate in the gas wouldn't
hurt at all! Be careful with this stuff, very toxic and dangerous!! 10 x
more explosive than gasoline!! With the weather conditions we have right now
it wouldn't be a bad idea to put some in just for the hell of it!

Probably injected engine. Pour a little gas in the throttle body and see if
it starts. Could be frozen fuel line with water, or a bad fuel pump or
pressure regulator. I just got the fuel pump changed on the wifes 96 Blazer
as did not put out enough pressure. Pull the fuel line at the throttle body
and see if any fuel delivered. My 89 S-10 did have a pump go out and no
fuel at the TB. Also, check to see of it is GOOD spark. Needs to jump at
least an 3/4 inch gap. Can be either the coil or the sensor in the
distributor. If weak yellow spark is probably the coil, if no spark the
module in the distributor.

Moisture in the cap can definitely keep it from starting. It causes the
spark to jump all over the place instead of just the electrode it is suppose
to.
