Default The boat

Great looking boat Chris! Of course, I'm a little partial as I have a 391
that looks pretty much the same...:-)

Keep us current with the Yamaha performance. I have an Evinrude on mine,
but that Yammie looks sweet!

Hey all, finally, I picked up my boat this morning, and now I am broke
for a few weeks, but I do have my boat!

I posted a picture on ABPF.

Scott will definitely do. I still have 9 hours of break in time left, ,
I will hopefully put on half that this weekend , or even more. I would
like to get it ot a point where I can put the hammer down!

Chris

Don't get in a hurry. My dealer said break-in was critical on the HPDI

& don't forget - your dealer can see exactly how you break in in just by
plugging that new motor into his computer...

Oh crap, like Chris is even reading this! That lucky sap is out puttin
around as I type this.

As for me? 99th day of the year & I have yet to take a cast in '05.

God I want to be in the fishing industry...someone please help!

Yeah, I definitely will not do anything that would jeapordize the
longevity of that motor. I wouldn't go over 20k at all on sunday,
though my break in puts me about about a max of 30k now, and soon a max
of 40k. My biggest issue is , that when trying to get 30k my boat
pretty much stands straight up, and I never do get on plane. Now do I
get th eboat on plane, and then back off to 30k, or just take the time
to get on plane from a gradual acceleration. I am going to call the
Marina as well. I just want to do it right, and not screw anything up.
Everything I have been through makes me treat this boat with kid gloves.

Thanks for any help guys!

I think the life span at 30k even after breaking in is measure in seconds.

Just kick the motor up a little to get on plane and then back off, or add
more weight in the front of the boat.
