Default Short TR with some photos

Spent a day on a local stream a couple of days ago. Caught two small
trout with a wet fly (Red Tag). There was a pretty good stonefly hatch
/ egg-laying going, but couldn't see any fish break the surface. The
water is still pretty darn cold.

I also think I saw a 'least weasel'

http://www.blueplanetbiomes.org/least_weasel.htm

which is the smallest carnivore (of some kind) around. That was pretty
neat. Tried to take a photo of it but failed miserably. Some photos I
took can be found here (sorry, no photos of the fish - need to tailor
my equipment in order to be able to take a photo with just one hand):

Lovely photos, Jarmo. The similarity between your part of the world and
what we see here in the upper Great Lakes region of the U.S. is striking.
For example, the hepaticas blooming in ...382.jpg appear identical to those
I've seen in the woods around here in the past few days. Whatever other
problems we might have communicating, your people and mine would doubtless
speak exactly the same language on a trout stream.

Hi Jarmo,
Looks like a neat area. I could certainly stay in the places like in
DSC00373. Heck of a commute though for me for the weekends. (g)
Forwarding your message to Don Stern, one of the three Colorado folks I
dragged, without any persuasion on my part, into the clave over there. (Uhh
.. . .even though Don, appeared to fish mentally more from land, than
actually getting close to water much

So right. I've paddled a river backwater like the one with the big
house (only no house) and slower current many times. And the rocky
current one is almost a duplicate of one I spent 3 hours paddling up
and 20 mostly fun minutes going down. 71 could have been taken by me,
if I took pictures, on a backwater of the 'Croix.

When I visited Toronto a couple of years ago I wasn't feeling that far
from home. Except that service was much better.

wolfgang Whatever other problems we might have communicating, your
wolfgang people and mine would doubtless speak exactly the same
wolfgang language on a trout stream.

I have no idea what problems you're referring to (is that a problem?),
but I sure hope we have a chance to fish the same stream some day.

Top posting, because it's a simple question.

Jarmo, is it okay with you if I use 71 as my desktop wallpaper on my
comp?
