Default orvis fly reels made in China

Anyone bought a new reel from Orvis?

I recently purchased a Battenkill large arbor reel.

What's up with the made in China labeled box, while the illustration in the
new catalog which arrived after my purchase depicts a reel labeled made in
England. The web site also depicts a reel marked made in England. I would
have thought that a company with such a proud tradition would not be
capable of the old bait and switch. Anyone else disappointed. The quality
appears to be excellent. But if I had known I would have spent the extra 30
bucks to buy a reel made in the US of A, the Lamson velocity.
I suppose I should have done a little more research.
Orvis sold it's factory in England to the Chinese. Do the Chinese
manufacture any reels in England?
