Here are a few from local sites:

And Optimistic one:

And Pessimistic on Penn's, but greater one on Spring Creek (Click on the

Weather - 10 day Outlook looks good, a bit of rain just before the weekend,
then warming back up:

Three of us fished Penns at Cherry Run Friday from about 5:30 pm till
8:30. Flow was 220 cu ft/sec, very slightly off color after rain
eariler in the day (State College got .44 inches.)

Saw only a few rises, caught two trout. A couple from Ontario (who
denied knowing Peter; imagine that!) had better luck a little farther
upstream on sulphurs.

Went to the Union County Sportsman's Club for beer and burgers. Joint
was really jumpin.

The local wx guru I watched today predicts showers off and on all
week.

Vince, this TR is all well and good, but weren't you just a bit farther
afield recently? Two of them "I" countries, as I recall... :-)

Sure and Begorrah, I was! Two weeks in Ireland, whence came my
ancestors; two in Italy, where lives my younger daughter; and ten
days In England.

Didn't do any fishing (I know, I know!) but I did walk along about a
mile of the Itchen, saw Isaac Walton's tombstone and window in the
Fishermen's Chapel of Winchester Cathedral, and visited Nether Wallop
and Over Wallop, on a trib of the River Test. How could I go to
England and not visit towns called Nether Wallop and Over Wallop?

I'll bring some pix to the Clave, if anyone would like to see them.

BTW, it rained most of today and more showers are forecast through
next Monday.

once... no more, no mas, never again. sunny warm days, cool nights, big
drakes, fine times with good fishing companions...

Bill - Pics are always fun to peruse after hours, count me in too.

No need to worry, just put in an order for rain next few days, and then
perfect hot but slightly overcast weather this weekend into next week. In
reality....just saw a weather forecast, some reverse Nor-Easter looking
thing rolling in from Shaw/Stan/Jim's area. Looks like more wind and clouds
than rain, below average temps...don't forget the layers...Most likely the
break in the weather will come with T-Storms, the fishing can be awesome
before, and directly after a storm so don't give up.

Whoever cares - Cell Number 484-744-1117 call me when you get close and I'll
check my messages when I have a cell.
Safe bets on Friday:
1. Three Streamer Stans.Coburn Trestle for Sulphurs/Grey Fox Spinners/maybe
Drakes.
2. Drakes in the Axelrod stretch (most likely, but don't hold me to it)
3. Drakes in Weikert. Usually emerge in Weikert at the same time they do
in the warmer water above Coburn. If it's full bore hatch time, Weikert is
bigger water, and more drakes.
4. Just about anywhere else...with the Sulphur hatches under way, and the
Grey Fox Spinner falls, should be good fishing if the weather allows. Check
Jonas site for up-to-date info Thursday/Friday. or even better, call him:
http://www.thefeatheredhook.com/

Jeff - I think I have your cell (or was that your wife's?), but e-mail me
yours (reverse the e-mail here) and I'll be sure program it into the phone.

Did IJ talk you into a Friday arrival? If the weather allows I' ll be
moving from C&R stretch to Ingleby/Coburn, Friday late morning/early
afternoon to meet up with the earliest Clave arrivals at Three Streamer
Stans. If the weather sucks I may be searching for a Narrow piece of water
guarded from the Wind/Rain (BFC or Elk?). Saturday is a wild card,
depending on where the weather and hatches. If you don't get in until
Saturday keep an eye on the hatch progression. If the drake has started
I'll be where the peak is (most likely Weikert or hopefully C&R).

If you're not sure where to go during the week you can always follow Reid,
he's the luckiest SOB on the planet when it comes to stumbling onto a hatch.

Mike

Welcome home and perhaps we'll see you next week?

Bill (who, it would appear, may just be packing his rod and tent come
Friday
for a quick visit to Penns...)

Glad to hear you will be showing, staying down in the meadow?

Yep, bear central.

See ya in Three Streamer Stans vicinity on Friday?

Probably Saturday. Will arrive in the afternoon, but will fish my way
south
along Big Fishing Creek during the afternoon (if anyone is up there on
Saturday, keep your eyes peeled), arrive at Hemlock sometime around...
oh...
dinner time :-)

At least that's the current thinking. I can be pretty capricious
though...
May end up a few counties further west and north on the brookie streams.
Closer to home, but not the same camaraderie :-)

Adjusting his pince nez,
Bill

Could be nosing around BFC myself on Saturday if the streams are fouled.
BFC tends to hold out a bit longer. I think the creeks are low enough
though that they can handle a bit of rain, and will clear faster. Hopefully
won't need to find out.

Good luck either way,

Mike
