Last weekend I was catching some rather freshly stocked rainbows by the
hatful. Many of them had curious orange slashes at the jaw, like a cutthroat. Several years ago I caught some juvenile steelhead that had similar markings. I know that we have cutts on the east coast in Maryland, and that they have taken hold. Has New York's DEC done some experimental cross breeding? Pete Collin |
