Default Free carp !!

Hello

I am working with my local Lake Home Owners association on a large
scale carp removal project using electrofishing. Before I get flamed,
let me say that I enjoy carp fishing also. Its just that our lake has
become overrun with them, and we would like to restore some balance.
Anyway, I would like to see the carp go to good use, instead of just
going to a landfill.

We are located in mid-Maryland (Frederick county). I would guess that
we will be able to remove about 2-3,000 fish, average weight maybe 3-5
lbs. I have the supplies to build holding pens to hold them live (for
a limited time)until someone can come pick them up.

I any of you know someone who would be interested in them, for their
private pond/lake, fee fishing, food, or anything else, please put
them in contact with me. My email address in .

Thanks

Mike

I hope you have contacted Maryland's Fish & Game dep't. to make sure your project using
electrofishing is legal.

If it is legal, I think you should contact homeless and/or organizations that represent the
poor for the prospect of the carp to be supplied to them as food.

While Carp is sometimes used in Gefilte Fish, it is usually a mixture of different ground
fish. The list includes Mullet, Whitefish and Pike.

Absolutely correct if you are talking about comercially produced and
marketed jared
"Gefilte Fish" you see in your local supermarket. But not if you are talking
about old fashioned completely home made from scratch. BTW, that "pike"
often seen on the label is actually walleye.

I have to admit, I never got Grandma's recipe.
