Hi Osmo:
Yep. We got here about 2 weeks ago and have had endless faculty meetings at the school. Today is the first day of classes: I just finished three of them, and have a break until the last one in 20 minutes. Overall, feelings are quite positive: HK is a huge bustling city with people packed shoulder to shoulder, but even with that, its well kept, beautiful and the locals are very friendly. Where I live (Tai Tam) is on the south side of HK Island, about 5 miles direct from the city but about 40 minutes by road, and is very serene and beautiful. I can't see any houses from my school or my office, only lush green hillsides, and there are lots of great walks, places to eat, and the shore is only a block away with some good places for SWFF. I haven't been out yet, but I hope to do some dusk casting this weekend now that my meetings have ended and I'm back in the familiarity of the classroom. Whats the word with Roger? Is he in Japan yet? --riverman Osmo Jauhiainen wrote: Thanks Myron! Have you moved to Hongkong already? Osmo "riverman" Roger: email me at the usual address (myronbuck-at-yahoo). It is nice to hear that you have found that kind of place. Whats the word with Roger? Is he in Japan yet? I have got no information about Roger. Osmo |
