Default FastCat Boats?

I'm selling my beloved Cobra this year and I've had some contact with
FastCat Marine. Has anyone heard anything about these boats, good or bad?

Thanks,

I heard they were a very very good rough water boat. I tried to contact
them a couple years ago about a demo ride, but could never get anywhere with
that. (Basically never heard back from them)

Make sure you can get good dealer support. If that's a question, then
you better go with a brand that you can.

Oh no, the boat is sold, just waiting for delivery. It's certainly a
different looking boat, a pickle-fork, tunnel hull offshore racing hull with
fishing platforms and livewells! I haven't seen one in person, but I've
heard the construction is second to none and they're extremely stable in
rough water and high speeds. But that's all I've heard.

Bob, that's what I heard too. I think you'd have to go to Miami to get a
demo ride, unless there's a dealer out there.

Shoot, up here, unless you run a Lund, Lowe or Alumacraft, dealers don't
know what to do with a boat. The dealer I had for my Cobra promised me the
sun and moon for dealer service, then left my guide service partner high and
dry after we bought our boats. So for the past four years, I've handled all
the service work on the boat anyway. But it is a consideration that most
should heed.

Thanks,

Steve,
What is the largest engine size? What is the estimated top end :}
In their web pictures it shows boats but none with carpeting and all
look to me like the front deck slopes down towards the front.

Steve,
A pretty good friend of mine has one.. I have never ridden in it,
but he claims it's a good rough water boat, although he has never had
it on Erie. I can send you some pictures of the boat if you'd like. I'd
be leary of the lack of dealer support..........

Because they're over 20 feet, the Coast Guard cannot restrict the
horsepower, so they're rated "Unlimited". I was told that I can expect to
get into the mid to upper 80's with a 250 Merc. None of the boats have
carpeting, I asked about that. What I was told is that the boats are so
aerodynamic that they cannot find an adhesive that will keep the boat carpet
glued down for a reasonable length of time. All the boats they've carpeted
have had the carpet come loose. So they grit coat the walking surfaces for
traction. I'm supposed to get a CD that has more information about the
boat, it's hull, design features etc.
