Default Realistic looking flies on eBay.

Found these on eBay. They look too realistic. Has anyone tried these?

I am in NO WAY connected with this auction. I just thought they looked
really realistic.

Anyone seen the cover of Spring 2004 'Fly Tyer' magazine? There's a picture
of a stonefly nymph fly at about 500X magnification, and you absolutely
cannot tell it apart from the real thing. Right down to the hairs on the
legs, the coloration in the exoskeleton, and the tiniest details of the
eyes. I have no idea how the tyer did it, but it sure is impressive.

Is this an ebay scam?
How can you sell flies for less than a buck a piece?
Let alone fancy ones....

I know, dirt cheap. It looks like good feed back. I think I'm gonna
find $20 burning as hole in my waders.

Hello,
For some reason I attended the Fly Fishing Show in Denver last week.
A couple booths, as I recall, had "standard" dry and nymph patterns for
$8.00 US a dozen. Many others had them for $10.00 a dozen. ( appeared they
were from Kenya . . . or China . . .I used to know this stuff when I was in
the fly manufacturing arena . . . not anymore.
And would you believe it . . .some of these folks fib about where the flies
come from?
Specialty flies, not the "standard", but with higher labor time, a higher
price. . .like mouse patterns and some other deer hair stuff, and epoxy
stuff, etc.
I've tied some of this stuff, a bit , but it is mostly for show.
My stuff I use is usually much more simple.
Tail maybe, dubbing maybe, hackle maybe, wingcase sometimes, wing maybe,
maybe ribbing, and a bit of thread, somewhere in the process . . . seems to
work okay . ..so far. . . uhh . . .plus a hook . . .unless you are fishing
with Walt . . .where there is a kinda partial hook.

I love the line - "they can be used as a bait substitute for bait
fishermen." Funny.

The seller has 100% feedback, so I would say it's legit...
