I have a week of carryover vacation I need to take before the end of March
2006. I'm thinking of taking it during the 1st week in March and want to book guides or a lodge for the trip. I'd like to go after some Bones and Tarpon. Last time I was out was in June 2000 and I was in Freeport. I've never fished the Keys. Given the response to the last guy who asked a question, I checked at groups.google.com and did a couple of searches on various criteria (Bahamas, Florida Keys, Bonefish, Islamorada, March, Tarpon). Most of the information is dated (some of it by 10 years). Given all of the hurricanes over the last 2 seasons I'd like to request a bit of current info on these locations. Generally, is the fishing better in the Bahamas or Keys in March? SHould I consider another destination? Thanks, Bill |
