Default Inflatable vests

I'm looking to purchase two inflatable vests and am considering the Mustang
Tourneyment or the Sospenders. Does anyone have any experience with either.
I am going to get the auto/manual.
Thanks,
Mike (PA)

Mike,
I have had the SOSpenders model for a few years now. I have not had
any problems other than the time I threw it into the back of a friends
pickup that was parked downhill and had water in it. :{ That was the
only time it inflated automatically. Rain has not bothered it and it
is so comfortable I some times forget I am wearing it. It is cool in
the summer and does not restrict movement. Just remember to get a big
enough size so it fits over cold weather gear. You should not wear it
under clothing.

I have SOSPENDERS and they work very well. I have had curious busybodies
pull my manual cord once when I made the mistake of leaving one in he boat
while having it recarpeted. I have also had two wet activations.

Once when I left one in my aluminum boat on the floor when it was raining.
When the water in the boat got deep enough it went off. Oops.

ANother time I had one laying on the back deck behind the driver's seat when
I was using the TM to navigate into a narrow back channel and an overhanging
branch knocked into the water. I heard it filling and I ran to the back of
the boat and grabbed it before I was out of grabbind distance. Very quick
activation.

I have also worn them in the rain several times with no false activations.
