Just got back from Guntersville, Alabama. Thanks to everyone
who emailed and posted. Your thoughts and prayers meant a lot. I bought several copies of the March 29 _Advertiser-Gleam_ and Lake Guntersville is looking great this year. The TVA reports 16,500 acres of vegetation which is about 24% coverage. More is better, but any more than that and the water skiers start to whine. The electroshocking yielded 61 bass per hour and the average size of all fish sampled was 1.5 lbs. But what's really nice is that 26 bass out of the total bass sample of 304 weighed four pounds or better !! Saw Kentucky, Minnesota, Ohio and Wisconsin plates on the trailers at the boat launch next to our hotel and unlike up here, Spring has sprung in Guntersville. Thanks again everyone. -- Ken Fortenberry |
