Default Angry Rock Creek neighbors take to the streets

www.wilderness-sportsman.com ( May 5, Montana )

"Rock Creek residents and concerned anglers marched from the Rock Creek
Fisherman's Mercantile to the Rock Creek Lodge on Thursday afternoon in
protest of a proposed 36-lot subdivision at the mouth of the
world-famous trout stream.

It was an angry crowd that met representatives of a proposed
development at the mouth of one of Montana's favorite trout streams
Thursday night.

Nearly 50 people crowded into the dining area of the Rock Creek Lodge
to hear about a proposal for a 36-lot subdivision on what used to be a
hay meadow at the confluence of Rock Creek and the Clark Fork River.

The land now sports a huge pile of gravel and plenty of overturned
earth."
