NZ is the only real 'chic fly fishing destination' that has ever had any real appeal to me, for the stalky sneaky big fishy stuff on the South Island spring creeks. But even then I don't think I'd sit on an airplane that long just to go fishing ... Frank, you are now within a day's drive of "glow bug browns" at least that 'wide angle lens' large, right here in the good ol' USofA. Save the airfare and point that car West young man. *** Posted via a free Usenet account from http://www.teranews.com *** |

That's also about the oldest fish and camera trick around... He's holding the fish pretty far forward, but I don't think it's extreme. The apparent fatness of his fingers isn't out of line, IMO. I think it's an awesome fish. You can get an idea of its impressive size by looking at the guy's hands compared to the pectoral and anal fins and the tail. On the other hand, maybe he's a midget. :-) Whether the fish lived or died is of no concern to me. -- Cut "to the chase" for my email address. |

I don't know...The guy is holding the fish out, however, look at the size of the pectoral fin in relation to his hand and also the fact that his hand doesn't reach all the way around the tail. That's a huge brown, JT |
