my cousin used a similar model up in the smokies a couple weeks ago,
and other than the fact that he picked up some aggravating pebbles while
in the creek, seemed pleased with them. however, it appears from the
photo that this model doesn't have a toe cap. that would make their use
in our freestone streams utterly impossible.

IMO, they are not better nor worse than wearing a pair of Teva's or
Choca sandals. I spent three days wading around streams in the smoky's
wearing the simms keen river sandals. That closed toe is a much better
wading design.

I get gravel/pebbles between my foot and the sandal.

That's on all sandals.
