Default strange day -great evening

Went to the lake yesterday afternoon [around 2.30 PM] and all in all it was
a strange day. Cool wind from the north, blue bird sky's with just a few
clouds and gusty wind .the rain from the last two days had raised the water
level two feet or so but hadn't stained it much. I hadn't figured to have a
good day and I was right until about 7.30 then all hell broke loose. In the
next 1-1/2 hours I boated two -5 lber's- several 1-1/2 lber's and close to
a dozen short fish. The smaller keepers where a blast to catch but the
larger fish didn't offer much of a fight. I don't really understand why not
but they didn't. Also both large fish were very pale in color when compared
to the 1-2 lber's.I caught fish on just about every thing I used before 7.30
without even a bluegill bite but worked out on them after the sun started
down

Strange day
