Default Smoking Outboard

I had a post a few weeks ago about my 1997 Johnson 200 hp motor smoking,
I was told by a few different people that it's normal for carburated
motors to smoke after being on the motor tote. I've noticed mine to
smoke very heavy now after it's running and really bad when I start it.
I pulled a few plugs after I ran it for about 15 min. today and they
were soaked. Could this be a bad VRO pump? and if so what is an
approx. cost to replace it?

Since I burned up my 150 Evinrude circa 1995 or so...I'd properly plug the
oil injector pump and go back to adding oil to your gas. I'd use
synthetic,,,and,... assuming that no other issues exist with your
motor..the smoking will be less. RG

BUT... removing the injection system will bypass other areas that normally
get oil that isn't mixed with gas. I wouldn't recommend this...

Take your boat to a mechanic if you are concerned...

I bought my boat at a large dealer that also sells used boats. They stated
that they bypass the oil injection system on all their older outboards.
Also, almost all the posts I've read on the subject mention the same thing.

I've never come across any information stating that "other" areas received
oil from the injection system. What are these areas?

I took the cover off my motor and pumped up my fuel ball, and I noticed
fuel comming out of the top hose that goes into the VRO pump, maybe
thats the problem to much oil and not enough gas.
