Is anyone familiar with the North American Fishing Club? I received a
promotion in the mail which says for $1 a month I get membership which includes a monthly magazine and periodic products to evaluate and keep. Also they say they may "periodically" send a product like a book for purchase if I decide to keep it. Usually when something sounds too good to be true, it isn't true. They seem to be offering a lot for $1 a month and somehow it just doesn't feel right. Has anyone responded to this ad? This isn't the first time I've received this promotion. Just wondering if it's worth it or not. Sunrider |

The book deal sounds bad though. They sent out a book a couple years ago to all their members asking us to either buy it or send it back. Most of us did neither. They sent it to us unsolicted in the mail. I think they got burned on that marketin attempt. Now it sounds like they are trying to legitimaize that marketing ploy by having you agree to it when you join. I would like to see the offer. -- Bob La Londe Fishing Arizona & The Colorado River Fishing Forums & Contests http://www.YumaBassMan.com -- Posted via a free Usenet account from http://www.teranews.com |

The product evaluation thing...Well when I was a member (was with them for like 5 years) I never got anything. So I question that. The books. I got 5 or 6 of them unsolicited and never sent them back. They were all pretty much not really worth the money plus they were all geared tword fishing midwestern waters. Since I live in the Pacific Northwest they were about as useful as teats on a boar hog. My 2 cents worth...Save your money and buy a new reel. |
