Fishing Southern Maine?

Hi all, in just over a week I'll be heading north to the greater Portland
area in Maine and I'm thinking about picking myself up a license and wetting
my line; either my fly rod or my spin caster, but preferably freshwater fly
for trout or salmon. To those ends I am looking for a few places to check
out within an hour or so from Portland. Been to Maine many times but yet to
fish it.
Any guidence would be greatly appreciated.
