The area where we stayed and the scene of my long winded TRs has been
closed. There is a massive fire to the east and yesterday a new fire (Jungle) was reported deep in the Wilderness about 8 miles south of the cabin. That same fire is only about 3 air miles from the Falls Creek campground where we spent out last couple days. Pray for snow. http://www.fs.fed.us/r1/gallatin/fir...r_Big_Timber_a rea_closure_08-31-2006.pdf http://www.fs.fed.us/r1/gallatin/fir...jungle_fire_09 -01-2006.pdf http://www.inciweb.org/incident/news/article/440/2307/ g.c. |

It has not been a good year for our MT fire season.
I have been dancing and praying for rain With only a little success but We had some much needed rain 2 nights ago. Here's hoping for an early and wet fall. Fred wrote in message ... Here's a picture of the Jungle fire. The cabin we stayed at is still about 5 miles closer from where the picture was taken at. http://www.inciweb.org/incident/pictures/full/470/3472/ g.c. |
