I really appreciated that. It was a long way back to town to say the
least. I ended up catching a few nice cutts way upstream on them. It
was great to meet your very nice family as well. You guys sure had a
nice campsite there, right along the river. Alot of people don't ever
find that section of the campground.

From what I understand that area got hit with a fire this summer after

I left and went to Glacier. I did not get a chance to return and see
any of the possible damage. But from what I was told, that campground
and upstream of that campground made it AOK. The place finally got some
decent rain too before I left.

If you ever got a chance to fish that secret access at the entrance to
the national forest, let me know.

You missed a few rangers coming buy and plastering Stage 2 fire
restrictions signs everywhere. Of course, that didn't stop a few groups
from having bonfires in the middle of the forest.

Truly a great spot. I look forward to going back next July. Thanks
again for the flies and the generosity.

-Mike

Hey Mike!

Glad they worked for you.

Yep the campground, and the cabin too, missed a bullet. Hopefully one
of these years the drought will break. Until it does everywhere out
there has a bullseye on its back.

I did a string of extremely verbose trip reports about that week. If
you're interested do a Google search under my name and Montana TR.

Or you can register at wisflyfishing.com and check the report on their
message board:
