Reed F. Curry has added a blog, called The Contemplative Angler,
to his very fine site www.OverMyWaders.com.

It has, I think, some of the finest writing on fly fishing to be
found on the Web, certainly the finest in a FFing blog. Part of
my appreciation, I admit, stems from his views on many things
meshing with my own (and conflicting with the prevailing
"received wisdoms" of the 21st-Century sport). To whit:

JR channels T-Bone when he stirs the pot thusly:

Mandatory kill is the law in some European countries. It seems
like a lot of folderol just to appease PETA kooks. Closing down
a stream altogether for awhile sounds like a better idea to me.

Yeah, the choice of that one was a bit of pot-stirring. Maybe a
more cuddly, party-line selection would have been better:

O.k., things have slowed down a bit. I just took the time to look at
that. You and Mr. Curry should read the first three paragraphs. The
rest is ****.

Wolfgang
and if that's a representative example of his
writing......zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
