I've been a long time fan of Boston Whalers. (Been a passenger - never an
owner.) My question is this, whey don't I see more of them? Is it due to their expensive price tag? Or am I missing something? Tnx! ________ Jon http://www.fishingpatrol.com/ http://www.fishing.com http://www.thefishingnews.com/ |

Or am I missing something? Tnx! _______ Jon They are grossly over priced but VERY fine boats none the less. I see a lot of the smaller ones around Niantic. Don't see many over 19 feet. I suspect the price tag is the biggest issue. There are many other fine boats out there, Parker, Grady and others for a lot less money. Frankly I don't know how BW stays in business with the prices they charge on their larger models. I'm in the 25 - 30 foot market and Whalers are 15K++ more than equvilent Grady's. What is up with that? It isn't like I'm comparing them to a Proline or some other sleaze bucket tub. Bottom line is you can't go wrong with a Whaler but you could easily get features and reliability just as good for a lot less money. |
