Default Montana Clave suggested equipment???

I am starting up my list (Christmas is coming) for the Western Clave
and I was wondering what is suggested for things like?

1) Fly rods
2) Secret Leader formulas sizes etc.
3) Flies
4) Fly lines
5) Wading shoe soles (I have felt, do we need studs too?)
6) Any other suggestions of equipment & supplies?

Chris 'padishar creel' Fanning

PS I found a pretty good fly fishing checklist on the web at:

Great idea!

2) Secret Leader formulas sizes etc.

Pssst! Nine foot tapered to 4x plus two or three feet of 5x tippet....but
you didn't read it here, ok? Shhhhh.......

3) Flies

Bunch of dry ones and some nymphs plus a few streamers.

4) Fly lines

If you must.

5) Wading shoe soles (I have felt, do we need studs too?)

Bring the shoes with soles attached. There will be altogether too many there
who think themselves to be studs. We probably don't need any more, but
thanks.

6) Any other suggestions of equipment & supplies?

Beer, food, ice, sunglasses, and ear plugs.

The sunglasses should be extra, EXTRA dark so you don't have to see what other
roffians look like. Scared me to death when I saw my first. And don't forget the
beer!

Glad you're well, Danl. No damnable little spark of a fire gonna keep you down,
eh?

Thank, Bill. Lots of soot and ash, not much greenery left, but what the
heck. If I ever knew what normal was, I might, just might, try to get back
to it. Thanks for the note. We need to go see Frenchman's Creek sometime
soon. Maybe if it rains a little.

I'm definitely looking forward to it. It's my understanding that the area
came through the fire pretty much untouched, and the little look-see trip I
took a few weeks ago revealed more fish than I had expected. Good news, all
of it. Also, the cooler days that should soon be here make the hike out
much nicer :-)

Cheers,
Bill

13 degrees?! But how do you enjoy an evening grilling steaks on the patio?
How do you take an early morning walk on the beach without a parka? Why, it
sounds like you can't even wear shorts and a T-shirt when you go fishing!
Hard to imagine...

Cheers,
Bill
-And I *know* you remember those sunny 75 degree January days :-)
