Holy Yakatoly! Got my Cabela's FF wishbook. I had no idea (stated in awed
hushed tones). 8|

I knew there were $400-500 reels and rods, but $165 fly lines? WOW!

Actually, the rest of it is rather expected. Not unlike many other sports.
The concept of "invent a need and fill it" is not unique to FF. Just a
classic example of American ingenuity and entrepreneurship, which I gotta
admire. I love the stripper finger glove and the $30 charm necklaces. I
made a similar necklace from $0.00004 worth of 2X.

Some good info, too. I took note of the Chota testimonials given here, but
those Cabela boots in 4E are what I need, being second cousin to Donald
Duck. I got questions on the wader front, but will refrain till further
investigation.

IMHO
I find that there are many better outfitters than Cabelas, at least in terms
of quality
Also after reading of some of their environmental policies and practices

again IMHO

I choose to shop elsewhere

Well, for me, if I want instant gratification, its either Cabelas or
Bass Pro.
By the way, Cabelas Bargain Cave this weekend had 50% off lowest
marked price. I got their top of the line wading jacket for 15
bucks. Got a 120 dollar tackle bag (with a dozen plano cases inside)
for $22. CHACHING!
