This afternoon I was going home from a Scout function and took a detour
trying to remember where a couple of lakes had been built in Summerlin. The first turn was a dead end but the second was the right place. At the corner of Mariner and Regatta I found the lake, right as I pulled up I see some kid holding a spinning rod upside down with a serious bend in it. His buddy is moving along the shore as he moves back and forth with a net. I am wondering what he could have hooked and am expecting a big clump of algae. Finally hid buddy reaches down with the net and scoops up about an 18" carp. I hollered from the cab of the truck "what are you going to do with that" and he replied "let it go". It turns out the lakes are catch and release. Some wise individual has them posted against feeding the waterfowl. It looks very nice but they have a neighborhood association and I know they wouldn't be very happy with me. George in Las Vegas |
