I was going to Smith Mountain Lake for a mini vacation and I wanted to get
my father-in-law a new spincasting reel (his favorite) so I ordered him one from BPS on July 26 thinking I have plenty on time since I'm leaving on Aug 6., 11 days later no package. It showed up on Aug 8. 14 days to receive it? I've bought from Cabala's and Sportsman guide and had things within 3-5 days including weekends. When I called I was told after 14 business days and I have yet to receive it they will look into it. It's like this every purchase from them, what gives? |

Contact customer service through their website everyday. In the past for me BPS usually shipped next day, and Cabelas would ship in 2-3 days. However, for me I have found that Tackle Warehouse gives tons better service at least for the products they carry. |

I called 2-3 times and kept being told it's "in route" nothing they'll do
until 14 business days have passed. I get everything to include eBay and cigars within a few days of ordering, fore cigars I get the in one business day without paying extra. I'll have to look into tackle warehouse, I've not heard of them before. "Bob La Londe" wrote in message ... "Mike Getz" wrote in message ... If I had previous experience that it took this long for purchases to arrive I would either find another supplier or use a faster shipping method when I entered my order. |

I get 2-3 orders a month from them, it seems that only the important ones
get there in a round about way. I don't want to waste money on faster service if I don't think I have to, 14 days for a package? I've received eBay stuff in 2 days from CA to me in VA. What's important is when it was shipped, if it was 14 days and BPS shipped it 11 days after you ordered, it's BPS's problem. If they shipped it the next day after ordering then it the vagaries of the USPS or UPS that's to blame. You can tell which it is by checking the tracking info. (usually) |

(usually) One thing I have noticed is BPS has been charging Fed-Ex or UPS rates for everything and sending small stuff USPS which costs a lot less. They also seem to be taking a long time to ship that stuff. I have also heard they are putting more and more mfgs on the spot to drop ship instead of stocing as much inventory. They are going to need to shake out their new policies. In teh mean time I'll buy locally or through www.Tacklewarehouse.com |

I noticed that in my last order, but they used regular Parcel Post rather than the Priority Mail, it woulkd have cost them 50 cents more and cut the travel time in half.
