Default OT Obama should hire this guy

As clear a short explanation of the two ways of looking
at how we got into this financial mess as I've read yet:

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/04/03/opinion/03brooks.html

In short, if you believe the greed narrative you'll want
to nationalize the banks and have government restructure
the financial sector. The Krugman plan.

If you believe the stupidity narrative you'll want to
keep the essential structures and recapitalize whatever's
left that is functioning. The Geithner plan.

David Brooks does a fantastic job of explaining what Geithner
is up to, far, far better than Geithner does himself. Obama
oughta find a place in the White House for this conservative.
Something along the lines of Clinton's David Gergen.
