You know maybe this is something ROFFians could get behind that might
be a common ground and mute some of the political squabbling. Or at
least channel some of the anguish of the last few years into something
constructive. Ideas?

For example it wouldn't take much to make the best hole on my little
stretch of river wheelchair accessible and pretty safe for disabled
Vets.

Yes Dan,
Great organization.
Haven't been around here lately. Just stopping by to see if there are
any Claves to crash.

Dave has a good idea. I would be willing to donate a rod building kit
or enough tying stuff for 25 or 50 or 100 flies. Would anybody be
willing to ramrod such an endeavor?
There must be a great number of ideas for services and donations that
might help the organization.

With family is Mosul. We are continually sending care packages to our
soldiers. Would be honored to send some packages to our Vets.

10th anniversary Penns. Be there or, uh, be sober.

My club is looking at supporting this group since we have a major VA
hospital and military base here. If anyone could support us and
donate a few trout streams, we'd be set.

Well Ive made just a little progress. The closest VA facilities to my
river stretch is the J. Wainwright hospital in Walla Walla, and an
outpatient clinics in the Tri Cities, Lewiston and La Grande.
Wainwright has an outpatient clinic, 30 some odd beds for acute, and a
22 bed facility for psychiatric and substance. Now I need to hook up
with some locals and work out some kind of pass so they don't look
like trespassers or hook any critters. ;0)))

Dave
Hope that Colorado Congressfool doesn't come down on the VA for
implying that some Vets have "issues."
