CBC was reporting on the "beer summit" that Obama hosted. The article is at:
http://www.cbc.ca/world/story/2009/0...9.html?ref=rss Apparently, the Mass. governor wanted him to serve Sam Adams, however... "Obama opted for a Bud Lite, made by Anheuser-Busch...." No wonder Fortenberry likes the guy so much. Tim Lysyk |

How DO you eastern weenies survive without:
1. Moose Drool 2. Trout Slayer 3. Mirror Pond 4. Full Sail -Bob (Who kinda, sorta wishes that Yeungling Black and Tan would make the trip to Montana). |

Besides, there's nothing quite like ordering: "Waitress, I'd like some more Moose Drool please". Chuck Vance (who currently has a stash of Blanco's own Fireman's 4 Blonde Ale and Shiner Bock in the fridge) |

If I had access to Big Rock's Traditional Ale, I'd never drink anything else. Chuck Vance (well, maybe just an occasional Grasshopper Ale or a Warthog, but nothing else ... well, maybe a McNally's ... or a Black Amber ... ) |

Tim Lysyk Doesn't anyone drink American beer anymore? Frank Reid Sippin' a Yeungling Of course. I usually stock Henry Weinhard'ss (Hef, Blondie, reserve, Blue Boor etc.) Reasonably priced, cheap, in cases. Then there are also the Hood River beers, Full Sail, Fat Tire etc, Seattle's Ballard labels, etc. Of the Mexicans I like Pacifico out of Mazatlan, and Modelo Negro. None of these cost a fortune. All are good and all use NW hops (As does Bud by the way), and barley or wheat. The giant hop yards South of Yakima, Wa, supply brewers worldwide. But the locals get the best and use the most, a good thing if you like to taste the hops that is. Dave |
