This month's copy of Fly Rod & Reel (March) has an article on
Argentina's Rio Irigoyen and the Far End River Lodge where I stayed and fished January of 09. Interesting read and brought back some fond memories. I believe I was there before the author. If you have some spare cash, I highly recommend the lodge owned by twin brothers Alex and Nico and the fishing. I have never stayed in nicer digs, and the food/wine/beer were top notch. Tough to beat even in civilized Montana, and extraordinary considering you are the most southern fisherman in the world. Spend a day or two in Buenos Aires or Sandiego de Chile on your way down. And wayno, the chief chef and her assistant pastry chef are extraordinarily beautiful, and young. If you can only get a MB that far south! d;o) Dave |
