My new PaS camera sucks for macro work, so I'm looking for an
inexpensive macro lens for my D-90. Any recommendations?

Thanks, JR

You may want to asl this question on the digital photograohy group.
If you cannot find the group I will send it to you
And
Be careful where you buy equipment on line as there are a bunch of rip-off
artists in the biz
B & H Photo is the best

Thanks, Fred, but the number of newsgroups I'm interested in is one. No
answer here, I'll Google or **** it. ;-)

All photo stuff I buy is either from B&H or Amazon.

This lens gets great reviews:

I'm pretty sure it comes with a Nikon mount.

Yup.

I don't know about others experience with the Pentax Optio W80, but I am
very satisfied to this point. The only thing that I didn't see coming was
the battery type. The camera takes an LD-70 or some such battery, rather
than easy to carry "AA" or "AAA." And it eats up power like "richboni" eats
up ****!

I bought the camera for $197 + $6 s/h + $11 camera case + $14 for extra
batterey + $14 for car charger + $25 other crap = around $270

But it takes great macro pics. JR I posted a few pics I took early on with
this camera, so they are anything but quality, but you will get the picture
:~^) Also, I took a macro pic of a grain of desecant (sp?) about twice the
size of a grain of salt and the camera made it look like boulder! I was
absolutely amazed.

Anyway, take a look at it. I got it for the macro functions and the
waterproof feature--its my fishin' camera. Not that I have other cameras,
mind ya. Like I don't have a swimming camera, sleeping camera, eating
camera, tree climbing camera--though this wood be a good one!
