Default New Zealand Fishing Inquiry

I used to follow this board a few years ago and I had corresponded
with a fellow who guides in NZ. I think his name is Clarke??
My brother and I are going in Mid March in the Rotorura to Lake
Taupo region.
If anyone has some guide or stream reccs would appreciate it.
TIA

I fished with this guide for half a day.

Ernie is a friendly down-to-earth guy, with a good sense of humor, and
the fishing was great.

We went to Rangitaiki, Flaxy Lakes and the Channel.

Hey Christian, nice to see you back. Where the hell you been?

You're going to be surprised at Christian's answer to that query,
I'm almost certain.

It might be a good idea to make some plans for a Wisconsin Opener
micro-clave. Where is Joel ?

Cool. I like surprises.

Same place. I talked to him about a month ago. Sounded healthy and in high
spirits.

Going out on the opener works for me. Fishing sucks, but there are other
things in life.

I seem to recall you bitching about the weather or some such last year and
passing on it. grin

I'm in for a Wisconsin opener.

We all took a pass last year. Sleet, snow, temps in the mid-20's,
we were wusses, wusses all. ;-)

So, we're talking Saturday March 6, right ? The last time I
drove up for this auspicious event we fished in Dane County.
Where we going this year (weather permitting ;-) ?

Don't know yet. I'd prefer something other than Black Earth, myself.
It's among the least appealing trout streams I've fished.
