Thanks for the work Joe. I hosted my first swap with only 7 tiers. I can
imagine 37 (34)!! wayne "rb608" wrote in message ... Okay swappers, I'm finally finished. Because so many swappers were late (but nice enough to let me know), I waited until yesterday to really cut it off. But as of today, there are 34 complete sets of swap flies sorted, boxed, & ready for a trip to the Post Office tomorrow. Today was the first time I'd opened the boxes & looked at the flies. All I can say is "way cool" guys. As usual, I am impressed with the abilities of the guys (& gal), including those professing modesty. Being the swapmeister, I also get to see the warts, so to speak. Nearly every fly I look at is a work of art individually, but it's good to see that some folks have the same consistency problem I do. :-) It's damned tough for me to make 37 flies exactly the same, but most of you can do it. Like I said, I'm impressed. Like past swaps, there's always those few who just miss a key point here & there; but overall, this was by far the best group I've served. Only one swapper forgot the postage thing, and a couple didn't sent return boxes that were worth a damn; and of course, there's always one guy who seals his return box. But the tags were great, the flies were great, and the cooperation was great. I apologize for the general lack of commumication throughout the swap; but I'm blaming my PC problems & the loss of my address book & a few other organizational files. Also, a few swappers, against my specific instructions, sent me a few tokens for my effort. I'll thank you guys individually. One last note. Every swapper should receive one fly from each other swapper. I had plenty of sets to go around. However, once all of the packages were packed and the cups cleaned up, there were a few rogue flies that apparently made an escape from somebody's stash. If it was your set, just let me know which ones you're missing, & I'll send them along separately. By the time your flies arrive, I'll have a complete listing of the swappers & their flies posted for you to check against. That's about it for now; I gotta go start dinner. Nice work, folks.
