Greetings from Grand Baie, Mauritius

Hey, gang. Having a fun time, now that the days of gray skies and
endless drizzle have ended. This place looks like the postcards of
Paradise...azure blue water, white billowy clouds, endless miles of
beaches, very friendly locals, and hundreds of excellent spots to
sal****er flycast to all sorts of bizarre fish. The reef face is
generally a ways out across the lagoon, so a lot of the time I feel
like I'm casting into some dentist's fishbowl, hauling in little
colorful fishies. But every time I snorkel in the same water, i see
these huge (2-3 kilo) groupers hiding out, so I know they're there.
Tomorrow I rented a cabin cruiser to go out and try my luck off the
reef face with sinking line. More to follow.
