Default Hike in to Slickrock Creek

Am tentatively planning to hike down the Fat Gap trail on Thursday, 20
June 04, and fishing Slickrock Creek, camping for 2-3 nights. Anyone
else interested? I have a 7x7 tent and other gear. The hike in is a
piece of cake - downhill all the way, but the hike out! 1000' vertical
in just 1.2 miles, so it's not for the faint of heart (or lung). Let
me know - I'm flexible as to days, times, etc.

Dave

PS - caught 8 browns in 3 hours three weeks ago - only had time for a
day hike - so the fish are definitley there!

Indian Joe recalls---sorry the dates are wrong for me --how about a repeat
in Oct? Thought I would bring kayak and float over to bottom of creek , then
fish up to your campsite!! Therefore avoiding climb back up to
fat
gap trailhead. Have done that twice--and it IS a bitch--without camping
gear.
Would probably be able to catch a couple of steelheads out of lake while
paddling over!

IJ - sorry you can't join up - maybe we can get something together to
Slickrock in the fall during the 'clave, if there is to be one.
