Default NorthEast ICE!

Aragh! I'm sick of snow and ice! When the hell will the stripers be back! Enough
of this winter crap_ let's get some warmer weather in and start hitting the
water for some serious action.

Last year was my FIRST experience with the local river striper fishing. I didn't
even start looking for these babies until late in August. After hooking into a
couple of 40+ inch monsters I am MORE than ready to go this year. I can't
believe I lived in this state for 50 years and never worked one of these beasts
until lait year. What a great fish. Hard to get excited about trout fishing in
the local streams after hooking into a couple of these puppies. Damn! At the
tail end of the season last year I ended up hookin up about 6 times. Top fish
measured 45 inches before I let him go. We where both exhausted after our long
fight across the 25lbs test mono. A worthy opponent. Royal fish_ I'm more than
ready to see more of them.

When there is ice on the River, go to your local power company (Nuclear is good !). Their
outflow pipes put-out warm water and Stripers are known to hang out near them.

I'm on the Jersey Shore. Can't wait until the weather warms a bit and to hit the surf !
