Seem to have lost track of this newsgroup in recent months, but I picked up
on a couple of Costa Rica messages... There's just no comparison between sal****er fishing in CR and the US. Latter has good fishing, especially Florida and from the Carolinas down on the East coast, but it doesn't hold a light to CR where, if you rushed, you could catch a tarpon on the Atlantic side, a trout in the mountains and a sailfish on the Pacific coast all in one day Clive G |

I have never understood why some people will persist fishing a spot which, however good it may be at a certain time, will not produce for several hours when a short move will produce some other fish. Some of the more satisfying (UK context) combinations are chub and mullet on the same gear or trout and bass. I managed grayling and (rather small) pollock this winter but they were not on the same tackle. Imo if you're going fishing then you're going fishing but there's little point in fixing for what, where or how until you sniff the air... How are the Gower bass atm? Cheerio, -- |
