Day 1, just let me get my words down, it was extremely windy, hampering my
planned fishing, first i shore fished around a bridge with traditional rapala and jointed rapala, one bass surfaced but missed the lure, i then took the canoe out into the wind, lord help me, quite a feat with an acquired stiff neck to boot ( no pun), caught one small bass and one real nice lunker using my hank parker rod, the lunker was jumping out of the water like it was going straight thru the pearly gates, but i released it, it was caught on a plastic worm, waves were rollers and not white caps and i was fearful i would lose my gear on a tipover, i was wearing a pfd (always) due to the chance of injesting a lot of (cold) water on a tipover, summary one nice bass caught but i had to really work for it, BTw this lake is not known for bass fishing, day 2 report to follow |

Stay tuned for more! This time actually using periods instead of commas, and
making complete sentences! -- Charles Summers Secret Weapon Lures http://www.secretweaponlures.com "Lure builder" wrote in message ... Day 2
waited all day, very disappointing to say the least, this lake is not known for smallmouth bass fishing, only tied into a small smallmouth and some fair size rock bass, primarily using a jointed rapala, rock bass have a prickly dorsal fin, not a sought after species at all, quite possible to get a regional or world record with doubtful cash value, next day returning to the spot where i tied into the lunker. day 3 report to follow. |

Day 3
fish at the same spot as day 1 as said at the end of day 2, tied into two small bass, one rock bass and one lunker, had another heavy strike but lost due to a snafu with my drag, used back reeling to land the lunker, daiwa reel best suited for back reeling, the lunker hit the side of the canoe like a mini version of Jaws, not a real productive trip on day 3, the lake is not known for bass fishing, caught the lunker on a ribbon tail worm , scenery is great and the bugs are a biting, i have a pattern now for day 4, day 4 report to follow |

day 4
predicted 50km winds and unsettled weather, opted to shore fish using the pattern established in day 3, shore fishing is better than no fishing, fished near an low slung bridge, fishing is suppose to be good but difficult to establish the movement of the fish, got bit alive by bugs, winds calmed so went out in canoe, tied in and landed one nice bass, no multiple catches of bass for this lake, day 5 report to follow. |
