Just a short TR about a short trip to Lake Texoma the other day
Thanks for your report. I hardly ever see flyfishers below the dam-and I fish there frequently. The guys at the Blue Heron turned me on the the clear intermediate fly line with my Clausers-also in a six weight. Sounds like you had a great morning. |

f.blair asked:What flies worked best?
I used the usual small gurgler rip-off for the bluegill early, then switched to cap spiders tied on ity-bity crappie jigs. Most of the larger fish were caught on various clousers, squirrel tail streamers and crawdad patterns. Lots of crawdads seem to live in those rocks and just about everything loves to eat crawdads.
