I hit my favorite stream on Sunday. I arrived fairly early--8:30AM--to find that the
stream was flowin' way faster than normal and muddy. Apparently, it had rained hard up the mountain Sat. night. I have never fished Upper Creek when it was like this, and I have fish it often. Anyway, I nymphed for the first 5 hours without an acknowledged strike, and obviously no fish brought to hand. I finally decided to tie on a dry fly. First cast I landed a nice 11" rainbow. Unfortunately, I didn't land another fish for the next 3 hours. How so you folks fish fast moving brown water, on a small stream? I would have posted some of the pics I took, but I believe they became infected with a virus which has prevented me from posting for a while (please hold your applause!) Mark |
