Hello Everyone,
As I mentioned in an earlier post, I'm taking my 10 year old son fishing for the first time. Unfortunately, I just found out that the lake I was planning to take him to does not have a boat rental facility. They used to but it closed. So I'm back to the planning stage. I'm looking for a good bass lake in central or northern Ohio (preferred), northern Indiana, southern Michigan, or western Penn. The only other requirement is the availability of a shore based boat rental facility. Even a row boat will do. Now I know you good folks will not reveal that hidden secret of yours where the bass fight all day for the priviledge of eating your bait. I'm OK with that. Afterall, some secrets are meant to stay that way. So I'm good to go with your second or third favorite, or whatever you choose to reveal to me. My son and I will appreciate any and all help. Thanks, Tom |

Warren, an opportunity to spend time with a master would be treasured by
both of us for years to come. Thank you for the very generous offer. However, I'm sad to say that since its a short weekend, I'm trying to stay within 2 hours or so of home. My goal all along was to spend "interactive" time with my son and that means keeping driving to a minimum. I will keep you in mind should an opportunity come up for a longer weekend. Thank you and good bass'n, Tom "go-bassn" wrote in message ... If you guys wanna drive out to Eastern PA the boatride's on me Tom! ... Man I don't know about renting a boat, but I fished borrow ponds and municipal ponds along with several rivers all over north central Ohio and caught lots of fish from the bank. Another great opportunity with your kid might be to simply go out on Erie with someone Like Cap'n Bo at Magic Moments charters for a half day perch charter. Cap'n Bo and Cap'n Linda will go out of their way to make sure little guys get to catch fish. Yes, I have gone out with them, and we had a rgeta time. My son caught many fish on his own, and got to reel in many many more hooked by Cap'n Linda. http://www.greatlakesfishing.com/mag...nts/index.html If you are stuck on bass you might ask Cap'n Bo if he does smallmouth trips too. They are a great team, and my uncle's fishing club takes trips out with them all the time. -- ** FREE Fishing Lures ** Weekly drawing ** Public Fishing and Boating Forums ** www.YumaBassMan.com |
