Tom?...is that you Tom?

Never fished the fly. History tells me it's the Humpy prototype. Old
pattern from what I have heard.

Shaving Brush styles ... gack ... work.

Tony Weall tied that fly for the 2003 Dog Days Fly Swap and provided the fly's
history in the bargain: http://gula.org/roffswaps/recipe.php?page=DD2003&id=19

I tied a few up after that swap and fished them with decent success. As stated
in the history, the fly is not very durable (gets ratty looking quickly) but
seemed to fish well even after that.

That history sounds like the one from "Fly Patterns of British
Columbia" - Art Lingren.

It doesn't seem to matter to Humpys either

Steve ( going a little bit ratty myself ...)
