I fish 4 and 6 inch plastics mostly and have never fished a large
sized worm. Ronnie Garrison asked about big worms of 10 inches or more and so have many others. What size of soft plastic bait do you use most often and what is the biggest. What colors? thanks, gil Mesa Tackle Supply 244 N. Country Club Dr. suite 206 Mesa, Az. 85201 480-898-0700 http://www.fishingworld.com/mesatacklesupply/ |

Colors vary with the conditions I encounter with green pumpkin or watermelon being the most popular. Phil |

I love worms, which are my favorite soft plastic. I prefer them soft, hand
poured, straight tailed (various styles), and either around 4" or 8" long. Colors vary, depending on conditions. -- Bob Rickard www.secretweaponlures.com --------------------------=x O'))) wrote in message om... Action tails--7" Power Worm Finesse--4 and 5" Tubes--3 1/2 and 4" Soft sticks--4", sometimes 5" I tend to use black, pumpkinseed and watermelon, although I think results would be similar with other colors. |

Most often: 8 inch - 10 inches
Biggest: 14 inch Colors: Red Shad, Grape Shad, Tequila Sunrise, Christmas Tree, and Junebug Lunker City makes a 14 inh Slug-Go set that I use when hawg hunting. Expensive and you only get 3 baits and 2 big hooks in the set, but they work if you are patient enough. --- Chuck Coger http://www.fishin-pro.com wrote in message om... Most often. Either a 7 1/2" Culprit or a Gene Larew Saltcraw.
Biggest. 10" Culprit in either Black Shad or Red Shad. Casts a country mile on little weight. Helps you to feel the bottom better. Catches dinks just as well as a little worm. I don't know what it is, you'd think that small fish would be imtimidated, but their not. Carlos |

![]() This thread has become very informative. Most of you mention that " color depends on conditions". Could you be a little more speific as to what conditions govern what color you chose? I am trying to use your experinses to decrease my learning curve. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Mike |

cinnamon color with a black stripe down each
side. I should kick my self in the butt" Yes this is a good color for smaller baits. Now how about a black with the yellow stripes to look like a (spelling) Garter Snake. the cinnamon color with a black stripe down each side. may look like a rattle stake in the water. cool! gil (John Kerr) wrote in message ... Today I will be pouring some 10 inch curly tailed worms in a few colors.
The new test molds have my company name on them by the guy at the machine shop. cool, gil "Chuck Coger" wrote in message om...
