What are the recommended places to camp in Graham County since Joe says
Snowbird construction makes that area unappealing? Joe mentioned one place,
but I couldn't get any details out of him. g

remissevely ij answers--the camping spots i mentioned are along santeller
creek--about 3 miles up that road the Stewart Cabin area includes a
outhouse with several camping spots aside creek within fast walk distance.
Or if you take road out toward Joyck Kilmer and bear to right you will find
Horse Cove campgrounds
Of course if bear season is open you will find lots of groups using the
camping areas--they seem to come for a week and set up big camps with dog
pounds, cooking trailers etc--have not been in Snowbird area lately so
traffic may have slowed down but recently saw ad with lots for sale near
entry to dirt road [ about wher wide meadow on left used to be ] so cannot
project road traffic count with any exacatude.--too early in morning to
worry about spelling as i feel i need to hurry this to enjoy my metamuseaul
moment .
Jeff - do you think there will be any other folks up during second week and
will you plan to fish most days or fish in your backyard and enjoy
lovemate ? will you leave boat over at fontanna or move it around---still
interested in fishing calderwood and then hiking a piece up slickrock if you
would leave boat at foot of creek. We could use spinning rods on lake if
no one was around--lots of b-m bass and s-m-bass --plus steelheads? around.
Raining again here--got to runnnnn-where did i leave my old t shirt?
Or i might stay in motel beside snakegirl and discuss her study and interest
in indian lore. If she is as interestin as she sounds we might share a can
of packed in oil portgeese skinless sardenes

Bear and boar seasons start on October 18, so in the couple of weeks before
that you'll see lots of hunters up there scoping out the territory. I was
there two years ago and it was pretty wierd. I was laying there in my bivy
sack listening to dogs running pretty damned close. And wondering if they
were chasing something. And not knowing whether to worry more about the
bear, the dogs, or the hunters.

Is there any reason that any campsite in the vicinity won't be similar? I
figger I'll be doing the same thing again, only with a tent instead of a
bivy.
